What is your exterior house washing process?

What is your exterior house washing process_ - blog

At Pelican SoftWash we have high standards when it comes to our house washing. We understand that we are dealing with peoples’ most important asset and it deserves the highest care.

Most people are familiar with pressure washing. It has been around for decades and has been used to clean surfaces of all different varieties. Many people end up doing their pressure washing projects themselves and sadly get stuck in the endless cycle of cleaning their surfaces every 3-6 months.

Soft washing is the alternative to pressure washing, and it helps break the cycle of harmful, bothersome pressure washing.

Pressure washers typically use 2500-4000 pounds per square inch (psi) to clean your homes’ exterior surfaces. Alternatively, soft washing uses around 60-100 pounds per square inch (psi), vastly decreasing the wear on the surface, as well as giving very minimal opportunities for damage to the surface.

Soft washing relies on the chemicals to treat the infestation growing on the surface. This allows us to not only clean the surface, but sanitize it, which leads to longer lasting results.

Here is a closer look at our soft washing process that allows us to deliver consistent, amazing results:

  1. Prepare- Our #1 priority is to protect your home and property. When we first arrive, we start by identifying any areas of concern, such as pre existing damage, open doors & windows, etc. We next make sure all property and sensitive plants are moved away from the cleaning area. All sensitive areas such as electrical outlets, doorbells, tv, etc. are covered using tape, plastic, and tarps to ensure safety during the cleaning process.
  1. Hydrate– Next, all vegetation around the cleaning area, including plants and grass, are sufficiently rinsed and watered to ensure proper hydration during the cleaning process. Not only do we rinse the plants before, but also, during and after the cleaning process. This dilution keeps your plants at a neutral pH level.
  1. Service- After all the plants and property are protected, we begin the actual cleaning process. We work from top to bottom treating all your surfaces with our low pressure equipment. Our highly trained technicians use a variety of brushes and other tools to safely remove all tough stains, bugs nests, and buildup. After giving the chemicals a sufficient amount of dwell time and eliminate all the mold, mildew, and algae, we do a low pressure rinse on all the treated surfaces, leaving them completely clean and sanitized. We then apply a finishing soap to all the treated surfaces on the home. This process will neutralize all of the cleaning chemicals, ensuring no residual damage. It also makes the surface hydrophobic, helping to keep the surfaces cleaner, longer than traditional pressure washing.
  1. Rejuvenate- Once the cleaning is complete, we’ll hydrate your plants even more to make sure the cleaning solution we used has been thoroughly diluted into your landscaping. We’ll also spray your plants with our proprietary plant care solution. This solution adds fertilizer to your soil and neutralizes the cleaning solution we used.
  1. Clean Up– After we are done, we roll up our hoses, collect up all our tools, and remove any tape or coverings used to protect the property. Any property or plants that we moved will be put back into its place. Our goal is to leave your property better than when we arrived.

Our goal is to make life long happy customers. We want you to be so happy with your experience, that you will tell all your friends and family. If we do not meet your expectations, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us so we can do everything we can to make it right!
